About Brenda
Brenda began her career in libraries working at her local public library during high school, where her mother was her supervisor. She continued her library work in a variety of capacities within the public library, academic, and school library environments. Specialized library settings, library innovation, and library technology have been areas of focus throughout her career. Brenda also served as an administrator in the public-school setting. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Southern Nazarene University, a Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman’s University, a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Texas Woman’s University, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M – Commerce. Brenda and Max, her husband of 38 years, love to travel. They are also sponsors of the college ministry at their church. Their daughter Kellsie lives in Tennessee with her husband Nathan and son Noah.
