User Eligibility
Dallas International University is a private non-profit institution. Guests are welcome to explore our library in person. Please obtain a guest badge at the visitor’s center. DIU Library cards are available to all DIU faculty and students, members of DIU’s family of entities, and International Linguistics Center employees and volunteers. Applications are available in the Library or by an inquiry to library@diu.edu.
I am located outside the United States. Can you ship me materials?
The DIU Library will ship original materials within the U.S.A. and Canada to DIU card holders. If copyright allows, we are willing to make photocopies and mail them anywhere (10 cents per page plus shipping costs). If you obtain publisher’s permission, we can scan items to transmit them to you electronically. (See Remote Library Users.)
Is it possible to borrow DIU materials if I don’t have a DIU Library card?
Try using an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request through your local public or university library.
Cooperative agreements are in effect with some local institutions through the TexShare Card Program.
What is the TexShare Card Program?
The TexShare Card Program is a reciprocal borrowing program which allows registered users of participating TexShare libraries to obtain a separate TexShare card that may be used to borrow materials directly from other participating libraries. You must obtain a TexShare card from your home institution before going to other libraries. Home libraries will require an applicant for a TexShare Card to be in good standing at the home library, and to have demonstrated compliance with the home library’s borrowing policies.
DIU Cardholders wanting a TexShare Card
DIU Library card holders wishing to obtain TexShare cards may apply at the circulation desk. You may view a list of participating libraries from which you may borrow at https://www.tsl.texas.gov/texshare/libsearch/index.php
