2PhD World Arts program length varies depending on the length of time spent on the dissertation phase. Estimates are based on 2 years (4 semesters) for the dissertation.

While we strive to keep tuition rates low for all our students, many of our students also receive financial aid in the form of scholarships and work study. Scholarships amounts are given as funds are available and according to need. Financial Aid applications are processed in April for the award year which runs from May-Extended term through the following Spring semester. Dallas International does not provide room and board but housing is available on and near campus.  Visit our Housing and Campus Services page for more details. Housing estimates are based on a single person staying in a shared room in the SIL Guest House.  The estimates below are very general and can vary significantly from person to person.

*International students in the US on a DIU-sponsored visa are required to carry health insurance for themselves and their immediate families during their time of study at DIU. Non-international students are strongly encouraged to carry coverage for themselves and their families. Visit our Health Insurance page for more information and some provider information.

Financial Responsibility

Students are expected to pay all tuition, course, language assistant, and other fees no later than the first day of the term. Arrangements for room and board should be made directly with the organization or party providing these services. Students should NOT arrive in Dallas without means of paying their school bill. Any student who has not made arrangements for payment of accounts by the end of the fifth day of a term will not be allowed to continue attending classes.
