Congratulations on your admission to Dallas International University! There are just a few more steps to complete before you start your classes. Download or view our admissions checklist today. If you have any questions along the way, please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions team. You can also check out our Admissions FAQ for answers to several of our more commonly asked questions.
Per Texas state law, applicants who will be under 22 years of age at the time they are taking classes on campus at Dallas International University must provide evidence of bacterial meningitis vaccination. This requirement is automatically waived for students whose 22nd birthday has already passed or who are only taking classes at DIU from a distance (i.e. distance education classes only).
If you will be under age 22 when you begin classes at DIU, below is a list of forms you may need to meet the requirement to provide proof of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination (or exemption from it) to DIU.
A welcome event is scheduled to occur a day or two before the start of each academic term. Specific dates will be shared with you when you receive information regarding orientation or they can be found on the DIU calendar. All new students and students resuming their studies after some time away are encouraged to join if possible. For those who cannot join us in Dallas for the event, virtual access will be given to the event.
New students and students returning after an absence will be required to complete an orientation course in Canvas. Access to the course will be provided a couple of weeks before the term start date.
More information about orientation can be found on our Orientation Page.
